Please help?
Also is it true that St John Wrts inteferes with the implant as I was hoping to take it for a while before I get assesd for another set of anti depressants?

If your talking about the implinon implant? (that goes in yur arm) thats probably the cause of your headaches & cramps...

I had it once for about a year I had bad headaches, cramps and was sick all the time, not to mention weight problems, it also made me nuts, really bad mood swings and depression...

I would do some research about it online, you'll find many women out there who have had it and are against it only because of all the side effects they've had from it and not been told by the doctor...

By implant, I assume your talking about the "IUD". The IUD works because of the copper on it, and therefor St John Warts shouldn't interfear with it. reguardless of what answers you get in here though, you should make an appointment with your OB and discuss the problem with him. Never take advise on anything serious such as medical problems from someone on Yahoo answers. I wouldn't want people voting on the best answer when my health is at stake, your Dr. should take care of that.

do you know which kind of implant you got? i know that one stops periods and has hormones in it, and the other one (which i think is copper) just changes the chemistry in your uterus so that eggs cant fertilize.

so it sort of depends on that. i would think that if you got the one with hormones, it might be causing your cycle to change and adjust. i think i actually got the other one, and my cycles are pretty irregular since it got it.

you might want to try progesterone hormone therapy to help regulate it. but my advice would mainly be to talk to your Dr, because it could be something abnormal. you can never be too safe when it comes to your health.

St John's Wort does affect contraceptives.

I would take a pregnancy test.

It could be a number of things, the drug interactions, hormones or other serious things like polycystic ovaries (or just your reproductive system). Get to a gyn , don't waste your time looking for answers on the internet, you need to be checked in order to get your answers.
