Because:
-It has same graphics as your computer game could have!
-It is expensive
-First release of every game is on PC
-It is not programmable and flexible as a PC is
-We can download mods for PC but not for PS/Xbox
And many more!
What do you say?

I think there are three reasons why people prefer consoles:
1) They can play on their TV's which are often bigger, and in more comfortable settings than their computers. I know you could put your PC on your TV, but thats a pain.
2) You don't have to worry about specs with a console. If its got your consoles logo on the front, then you can play it.
3) It's cheaper. A good gaming PC costs upwards of £1000, and could only play the top games for a couple of years at most. Why buy an expensive PC, when you could buy a cheapish PC, and a console.

I've always thought computer games is the way to go. And for all the reasons you listed. If you have a good enough computer that can handle all the xbox 360 / playstation games, then yes, getting the game systems are a total waste of money.

if your etc includes a Wii then it is totally NOT a waste of money. The wii allows you to "connect" with the game and you get a good work out from it too. other game systems are worth it if you are a real game player. It's not fun as playing zelda on PS than playing it on the computer.. at least for me it isn't

A computer can have batter graphics than any console, but if there is a game you want to play, but you're computer is not good enough, it can be expencive to upgrade, whereas every console game is specificly made to run perfectly on the console it is made for, so upgrades are never nessesary for new games, which is often the case for computers.

I don't, really.
The thing that like about consoles is that during their generation they won't become obsolete, so all games coming out for your console will work on it. With a computer, games are constantly improving and you have to be constantly upgrading them with graphics cards and such if you want to play a lost of new games (and for the games to perform as well as on the console)

I say I like playing games on my 42" LCD that I paid good money for. My computer's graphics suck and since it's a laptop it's not easily upgradeable.
