so you know when you're sick and you feel light headed and underwater all day? so i was sick 2 years ago and i felt light headed and odd for a week. like that feeling when you first wake up in the morning, kinda dazzed. but ui got better and still felt light headed and dazzed for a few more weeks then a few more months. so i went ot the doctor and they said i'm probly sleeping to muhc or not getting enough sleep. so i tried getting 8 hours of sleep for a week. didn't help. 9 hours didn't help. then i was going to try 11 or 10 but that nade it worse cause i slept too muhc. i got tested for mano but they said i don't have it. i'vebeen feeling so dazzed that i've questioned myself a few times if i was actually dreaming even though i was aawake.

ughh what could it be im sick of wasting my life living in an odd daze not knowing completly what's going on.

This may sound a little far-fetched, but it sounds to me like you may have a sinus problem. Often, sinus pressure can cause that "distracted" or "not-quite-with-it" sensation.

Another thing to have checked is obstructive sleep apnea, which can leave you feeling drowsey and even give you headaches, after a full eight-hours sleep.

If you feel like you're dreaming even though you're awake, then I doubt that you're getting "too much" sleep...probably the quality of your sleep is being compromised in some way. Check into sinus trouble and sleep apnea...but also experiment with a few different ways to regulate your energy levels. A good, stout cup of coffee in the morning along with a little mild exercise might--repeated consistently everyday for a while, will wake you up and get you going. Maintaining a consistent going-to-bed routine on the other end will help signal your body that it's shut-eye time.

I used to feel that way sometimes, and wondered why. I found that maintaining a regular sleep schedule - sleeping at the same time for the same length of time every day - and exercising daily all helped sort of shake the feeling, though it comes back quickly if I read, watch TV, or use the computer for very long. Anything that puts me in a lulled and somewhat passive state, basically. Fluorescent lights do it too, like in shopping centers - they totally daze me. I like to avoid them whenever I can.

I can't say I have any idea what's wrong with you, but perhaps trying those sorts of things - generally maintaining a healthier, more active lifestyle - might help you out a bit.

A very sick mama dog is an extremely stressful situation. And I understand your anger at some of the answers that you received. It is normal for you to want to vent back to these folks some of your anger and frustration. So, try to remain calm and keep your focus on your dog & pups. Don't let this cloud your true goal - a healthy dog. And yes, I would love to know this outcome. Kudos to you for your quick action in caring for 7 pups! It isn't easy! I wish that more people would realize that there are situations that stump even the best of vets. While the calicum issue is the most common with these symptoms, it is not the only cause. And your dedication to this dog and her pups is very, very admirable. So, you know that you are responding to this crisis in the best manner possible. You are doing all you can do in an extremely difficult situation. Let God sort out the rest. Peace

Al the symptoms you mentioned might be due to lack of quality ( it's not only quantity) sleep as you suspected. Another possible cause, might be due to stress, hormonal changes, or puberty stage that you are. You should also be tested for Hypothyroidism which might account for your sluggishness and fatigue.

Try to eat a well balanced diet with lots of green and leafy vegatables and fruits. Excercise on a reugalar badis to increase your energy level. Also drink a lot of water to flush out your system. Constipation can also cause this "draggy" feeling.

Unfortunately, the use of marijuana can also cause you to be lightheaded and dazed. This should wear off after 4-5 days. That's why it's impt to drink a of fluids.

Did the doctor do any blood work on you to see if everything is okay? Maybe you need counseling?
