Why do I bleed myself dry in Texas Hold em?

When I play cards i tend to bet here and there win a hand or two but before I know it my chips are down to practically nothing, anybody know how I can prevent this and/or any good tips,tricks and strategies....

The main thing to focus on when you're playing Texas Hold em is to know what your odds are and if you have a good shot at beating your opponent. Make sure to not have your bluffs so obvious and look out for your opponents. Don't call too high because Texas Hold em is practically based on luck half of the time any card could come up, and you have to remember and keep in mind what card the others have.

we want the BIG cash payout - all 39 cents (we play HIGH steaks)

and even tho we 'know' the hand is weak - we're crazy enough
to believe that the other guy doesn't have squat
