the casting couch i heard is the first stop for young starlits trying to make it in acting

3 paths to this career...
1. Graduate high school ( if you already have ) then go to a Collage or Theater Academy.. from there do shows for some experience in acting.. then audition for a major producer.
2. be in the right place at the right time..
3. have a friend who is a major star or upcoming star and do whatever it takes to get in =P
but. your best bet is option #1
then again.. you could just get into amateur films or B films as a start. you get a couple of friends together, a few digital cam recorders, some Movie mixing equipment or software and... you should be on your way.

Well first I would try to little plays and theatrical stuff. Work yourself up. Also, the key things for being an actor or actress is -
1)teeth are money!
2)look half way decent (especially in the face)
3)have great memory
4)MOST IMPORTANT= a great personality!

Try going to an Improvisation or Acting group. I'm sure you will find one in your neighbourhood.
If that's not your cup of tea, you could always go see some plays or something similar and see if you could talk to actors afterwards, ask them how they got started. I'm positive they won't mind answering.

Do a lot of acting at your local college to see if its the life for you. Take a dance and movement classes and a lot of public speaking . Train you speaking and singing voice. See a lot of plays and learn theater history. Then Maybe

Sure way is to enroll in acting class where media personalities frequent like talent scout, your trainors, people with connection.
