I'm a rememberer.
Forgetting something opens one up to making the same mistake twice.
Never forget, just don't dwell on it.

I think you misinterpreted the saying. The forgetting part refers to those who have had such bad experiences that they need to forget in order to move on into a better future or even being able to function.
I must say I am one who must forget, unfortunately. I do, however, hold out hope to build a life I will want to remember.....
Here's to 7th, 8th, and 9th chances!

Hmm...I think I agree with it.
From my own experiences, I think I need to remember. I was abused, you see, and I need to remember, so it never ever happens to me again, or to anyone I care about.
Then again there are people who are just hung up over stupid, small things, and who get so angry over such tiny things. They need to forget, and move on.
There has to be a balance. Remember, and learn from your experiences, but forget the things that don't matter, and live your life.

im the one who needs to remember because you can never really forget, you can just not remember. You can't forget something you know because you've known it once you just can't remember it again although you can try to forget it.

Sounds pretty logical to me. I probably need to do both....remember the good, and forget the bad.
(Easier said than done!)

I think on average most people are a little of both. Myself included. It is also like the bible verse keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
