gotta agree with will and johnny either one would be great if u r those type of friends. If not then a little something of whatever he likes such as favorite sports team hat, or beer if he drinks, or even just dinner at his fav restaurant

Take him to a concert of his choice.
Buy him food... All guys in college love food...
Buy him some cool t-shirts or something...
