is it all 4? if it is, check the connections, it might not be connected. if it still doesn't work, it must've overheated, just call MS(1-800-4MY-XBOX) and you'll have to send it in for repair, unfortunately. the good news is you don't have to pay. they'll pay for everything since the red ring is common.

This is 100% the Ring of Death. Yes, you should groan. If you call Microsoft and talk to them for like an hour, you can convince them to send you a box with padding for the 360. They send you the box, you send it back, they fix your 360 for free...But it takes at least a month.

If you want to play before the box gets back, get one or two blankets or towels and wrap up the 360 really tight. Keep the console running. After half an hour turn the Xbox off then back on, hopefully it fixed itself, but the ring of death will appear again and again.

you don't need money for repairs they'll repair it for free. So long as there's THREE WINKING LIGHTS, not four or one. If there's not three then unplug everything, after of course you turn it off, wait about te minutes just incase it's overheated then hook it up and tunr it on. If it is the three lights of death all you have to do is go to xbox.com go to support and register your 360, it has a serial number on it, you don't need your receipt or anything else. Request it to be repaired and that's all, just wait. OR THERE'S ONE LAST THING, this is a little drastic but you can do the towel trick but I don't reccomend it. I haven't done it but it sounds stupid.
1)Unplug everything except the power cord.
2)Wrap your 360 in two or three towels completely covered
3) turn on your 360 and wait like 20 or so minutes.
4) turn off your 360 and let it cool down for a minute or so
5) turn it on it should work again for how long? I don't know.

the red ring of death. Happened to mine. You most likely can send it in for repairs free of charge. That's what they did for me. But you'll probably have to wait a whole month til you get it back. They suck at getting it back to you at a reasonable time.

unplug all the connections and plug them back in and be sure to double check them being secured good. and as for sending it in, it doesnt cost anything. sounds like its just the connection with the electrical cord or the a/v cords.

I'm sorry, but it looks like you're gonna have to get it repaired. If you have the receipt, you can get it replaced, that's what I did. :)
