log (5x + 1) - log (2x + 3) = log 2
(5x + 1) / (2x + 3) = 2
5x + 1 = 4x + 6
x = 5

x = 5

Solution:

log(5x + 1) = log (2x + 3) (2) / based on properties/
log (5x + 1) = log (4x + 6)

Then:

5x + 1 = 4x + 6
x = 5.

log(5x+1) = log(2x+3) + log 2
Applying log rule-

log A + log B = log (A multiplied by B)

log(5x+1) = log(2x+3) + log 2
log(5x+1) = log [ 2 multiplied by ( 2x + 3 ) ]
ie log(5x+1) = log [ 2(2x + 3) ]
ie log ( 5x + 1 ) = log ( 4x + 6 )
Taking anti log of both the sides -

5x + 1 = 4x + 6
x = 5 ..................... Answer

log(5x+1) = log(2x+3) + log(2)
log(5x+1) = log(4x+6)
5x+1 = 4x+6
x = 5

Key concepts:
1: log(a*b) = log(a) + log(b)
2: if log(x) = log(y), then x = y and x>0 and y>0
