Hello, I'm doing a debate topic for school, the topic is: "Science must come before religion", and the counter team's topic is "Religion must come before science"

My question is that, how would i support this topic (of science must come before religion?)

examples and links would be very much appreciated.

also, how would i use examples from the book "Brave new world" to defend this topic?

thanks

Your argument is far easier than your poor opponents'. Science provides all of the knowledge we have today and has advanced our society to its modern state. Religion, on the other hand, only causes wars and is used to make money and force gullible people do what you want them to do. Religion has helped us in no way at all; it only slows the progress of science , which has provided us with everything.

This is a good topic for a 30-minute debate. You can get most of what you need just by thinking about it, forming coherent thoughts, and expressing them clearly and concisely. It is usually more instructive to argue the side you don't agree with.

After you have done some thinking, go ahead and read Brave New World. It's short, it's fun, and most thinking people will have read it and will refer to it. If you think about the topic before you read it, you are more likely to recognize relevant aspects.

Think about whether 'before' means chronology or priority.

No parent should object to the debate, regardless of their personal position. They should want their child to understand the issue, and a debate is an excellent way to do that. They should object to a monologue by the authority figure on only one side of such an issue.

Simple. Science provides knowledge. Religion does not, and cannot, provide knowledge. It can be proved that the predictive power of any theory derives strictly from its refutability, and it immediately follows as a corollary that an irrefutable theory can predict nothing: it is useless. Since every theory of religion is irrefutable, every theory of religion is useless.

Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.

i are not getting what you recommend via "come until now"??? technology and faith are 2 fullyyt distinctive subjects. it relatively is like announcing Geology could desire to come until now English. i does not take part in the two debate because of the fact the entire premise is stupid.

I have no clue what you just said.

Everything comes before religion to me.
I don't have one
nor are they important
