Making some Christmas shaped (I mean trees, angles, stars, reindeer, etc) cookies and arranging them on a Christmas plate or in a glass cookie jar is a relatively cheap Christmas present idea. And there aren't many males (or females either) that wouldn't love to get a yummy edible present.
I am sure you or your mum have a basic cookie recipe. You can get Christmas shaped cutters at most supermarkets or bargain stores for fairly economical prices.

the best element you may provide relatives is a few rather solid domicile-made cookies in an outstanding recycled tin container or cannister from Walmart , yet a properly lined and wrapped cardboard shoe-container is ideal. no longer too super of a container. no longer TOO many cookies. in basic terms make confident they're the ideal. they look super and are much less costly to make. by some potential there's a message in cookies. It grants love and ask your self, which they are going to gobble up, no longer remembering that the greedier they GET, the swifter the cookies are long previous. Get it? in spite of in the event that they 'do in comparison to you', they're going to think of you're fantastically candy as they thoughtlessly gobble up your stunning cookies way too speedy, and while the final one is long previous, they are going to worry ALL 3 hundred and sixty 5 days how they'd ever be nice sufficient to convince you to grant them some extra subsequent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. ideally be there while they're ingesting them and smile fantastically with an harmless look on your face. that is Karma... it rather works every time.

How about a cookie of the month club? Make up a gift certificate promising a dozen or so homemade cookies, say on the 15th of each month.

hand-knit something or other.
There's a rumor/legend that presenting a hand-knit item seals or breaks a relationship. The "keepers" will treasure the item because YOU made it and actually wear/use it because YOU made it. It's a great way cull pretenders.
The downside is that you might spend weeks of labor on something for a guy who just disappears. I figure it's time well-spent to make/clear way for better next time. :-)

I bought a bunch of wood boxes from craft warehouse and joanne's they cost less than five bucks, I have stained and sealed them and put a picture of my family on the top and clear lacquered it in place, then i made a puzzle of the picture and placed it inside the box. most of my family lives far away, so they love to get stuff like this. I also made one of my son sitting on santa's lap for my husband but he doesn't know it yet. haha. good luck.
