for example i want to know how loud should i have my ipod so my ears wont hurt , but i dont know what is the right loudness

Turn it down until your ears quit hurting. Should be less than 70 decibels, but I don't know how you could measure the decibel level. And maybe even less than that, since that is said only for sounds you normally come across and not sounds that are right up at your ear.

You should have the bar that indicates the loudness a tad to the right from the middle. But if this is too loud than just turn it down to the settings that suit your ears =)

just set it so its loud enugh for you to hear it but not so loud as to not compleately drown out a tv
