Well, horses are my entire life and Olds college has been a dream since i was about 8. Anyways i realize now that maybe it's time to look into it. I understand it all except this "

"􀂄 All majors require a minimum of 160 hours of substantiated work experience in a
related horse operation other than one owned by the applicant’s family. However, for the
Horsemanship major, 80 of the 160 hours must be substantiated riding related work
experience. The work experience evaluation form must be completed by the employer/
employers and returned to Olds College prior to March 1st for Fall entry. (Forms will be
supplied by the Registrar’s offi ce after application to Olds College.)"

So, that's what i read. That means the only work experience i need is at a horse-related place?
If so, seriously what if in my tiny little town there isn't a place that would let me do experience there
Is it a must? Like even if I have everything else needed?
Yikes, i hope this makes sense and bear with me . I know my question is not so smart

Plus, I was just thinking maybe i had to get these certain hours while still in highschool. Or is that just for credits?
Ah, i'm not ready.

It sounds like this is something that is required after you start at college, not as a requirement for admission. In teaching we have to have 100 hours of time in "classroom" type experiences before we do student teaching. So we volunteer, and we also get hours when we have to go observe for one of our classes. It sounds like they have the same type of thing for horesemanship. Usually the college can help place you with a field experience if you don't already have one. Call the college and ask about it, and see if someone there can help you find a placement.

Unless it gives an alternative somewhere else in their materials, this does mean what you think it means. In order to be admitted to this college, you have to prove that you have worked at a horse operation other than one run by your family for 160 hours. That means that you have to have done this by March 1 in your senior year of high school (sorry to contradict the others who responded, but it says you have to prove it by March for admission the next Fall. That means that it is an admissions requirement). It is clearly a requirement, even if you have everything else.

The good news is that this is only 4 weeks of full-time work, so if you are not already a senior, you could take a job over the summer at a horse-related operation, even if it means going away for the summer. For example, you could probably teach riding at a summer camp and add up these hours. Or you could get a job at a stables somewhere for a month or two. If there is nothing near you, and you don't know where to find a place, you might be able to ask the college if they can recommend some places where you could get the required experience.

It worried mind scans and goodness is aware of what else and ultimately found out that she wasn't only a lazy teen in spite of everything. They mentioned that a GP does not consistently understand how to diagnose this so he will have to refere you to a professional. Through the correct healing the lady is now again on her toes and catching up with all her misplaced paintings, which used to be many months ignored. By how it used to be refer ed to as ME and mentioned it is BMS open internet site.Sorry I can' t be extra helpfull however I desire you good and that you are quickly getting the correct healing to get you combating have compatibility once more. suzyque

The first poster is correct. If it is a requirement there will be someone at the college that will need to coordinate the activity as the "work experience" will need to be at an approved site.
