Woops! My speaker on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP just blew (Bose system). Just listening to some music (not even that loud) and it crackled for a half-second then went dead. It's the rear, right speaker. What should I do? Is it blown? Loose wire? What should I check? HELP (Thanks)!

Aren't there two seperate speakers to the rear, right side? If so, neither one is working and broke at the same time, so it could be a wire....Hmmm. Thanks!

Three speakers actually two mid range and subwoffer. Speaker outputs from the radio + and - all should show approx 5 volts with the radio turned on and voloume turned down the radio transistors modulate that 5 volts to make sound so if 5 volts is not present there is the problem. Most of the Speaker failures I have seen in the Grand Prix club turned out to be radio head itself. Even my 1997 GTP had display issues and one radio just stopped turning on. Good chance to upgrade to indash Navigation DVD satillite and MP-3 input system and junk the stock speakers.
