I bought this laptop and it's been giving me this problem, anyone knows what could be wrong?

That happens a lot with laptops. Most likely when you're typing, it's picking up your hand brushing over the trackpad, which it registers as a click (tapping the pad is also a single click for most laptops). In your trackpad settings (usually in your system tray, but also in control panel), you can set the sensitivity so that it requires more than just a brush to register as a click.
