For wildlife biology, conservation studies, animal science, etc.

I was thinking UCSD because on of it's colleges specialize in internships, and that would work well for me, maybe interning at the zoo or wild animal park. I want a career with CRES(Conservation and Reseach for Endangered Species) which would be at the Animal Park. So I was thinking definitely UCSD, but....

On the other hand, UCD has the exact major I was looking forward too, Wildlife Biology and Consevration Studies. When I looked at UCSD' majors, I didnt see that.

Which, statistically, is a better college? Which is the best for me and my plans and would have more opportunities for my career.

Both are good schools. Overall, UCSD is probably somewhat better, but that doesn't help you if it doesn't offer the area in which you want to work. It sounds to me like UCD might be a better fit for your interests.

I think UCSD in general has a better biological sciences department than Davis but Davis might be stronger in the animal sciences department (I always get the impression that Davis is more of an agricultural school). Although Davis offers the exact major you're seeking, the education you get might not be as strong as the one you would receive at SD in a similar major since SD is ranked above Davis overall. On the other hand, college is for you to learn what you're most interested in so if Davis offers the major you want, then I would urge you to go there. If you're worried about interning, I'm pretty sure that if you talk to a career advisor at Davis, they could offer you some of the same internships as SD or perhaps even better ones. Especailly if you're doing something biological/enviromental, the UCs will offer plenty of internships and research opportunities regardless of which UC you attend. If you have time, I would suggest you look at the course listing for the major you want at each school. Maybe SD has the major you want but just named something different or in most cases, it is just not the emphasized part of a major.
