Most of us humans from young age, have grew up to believing/or knowing that there is God watching over us, even an Atheist know, at the point and time in his life before he became an atheist(in most cases based on my experience with people, atheists, were believers until they turned away from God for personal reasons).
I would like to believe that belief in God, to some people,is ineffectual to how the world is as it is. People believe in God and yet, they still commit sin, crime or other worldly evils, with the absurd idea that in due time, God will forgive them, but at the same time they have contributed to making this world, a world of chaos and anarchy..
It is what is inherent in an individual that drives him to do what he does anyway.. His free-will. Though a person knows that it is wrong to commit sin, he will do it anyway for his personal reasons, this is because his free-will was justified and reasoned out but hasn't really passed through the higher faculty of intellect which is faith...

Well... people who supposedly believed in God did some pretty atrocious things in the past. Take priests or Popes for example... or pretty much any criminal that lived in Europe 200 years ago. Knowing that there is punishment at the end of the line doesn't always stop people from doing bad things... (It's the same as how people commit murders, leave behind mountains of evidence, knowing full well they're going to get caught, and yet they still do it.) Some people don't think far enough down the road to think about eternal salvation and others may just be taken by sudden and immediate impulses.
It's not just the believing in God that makes a person good (how many gangsters wear crosses around their necks?) but rather really having a strong sense of right and wrong and morals. There are plenty of atheists who are nice people, and plenty of Christians that would rob you blind. It all comes down to the moral code of the individual... You do things because it feels right in your heart, not because you think you're going to get punished if you do the wrong thing.

Yes God is wathcing. He gave us the power of choice and mankind is what is ruining this planet. Imagine if you had to watch reruns of Everybody loves Raymond 24/7. Wouldnt you finally throw your hands up and say to hell with it all? He does have a plan, we are ther frigging idiots that dont take the time to let him show us the way. I get really angry with the people that have no faith in God but have no problem spending currency with the words "IN GOD WE TRUST", commiting terrible acts towards one another, and blaming God for not stopping you from Screwing up. The devil is on your side, and apparently, the feeling is mutual. For all of you that want to force Americans to get rid of our values, if you dont like our nation being"UNDER GOD" then move to a third world country.

I believe that God is watching over all of us. It used to be a perfect world, untill sin came and destroyed it all. That is why the world is as it is!

This is a common question (argument) against GODS existance and here are some wise answers for your consideration.
1.We See How Devastating Evil Can Be
When we witness evil in the form of terrible crimes , we are reminded of how devastating evil can be to the human heart and soul. It is a reminder to seek what is good and to seek God.
2.It Helps Develop Character
Paul tells us in Romans 5 that suffering helps us to endure, and endurance builds character. Character is the ability to handle tough situations and to help others who are going through similar suffering.
3.To Get Our Attention
Sometimes when we are doing the wrong things our Heavenly Father uses suffering to get our attention. He wants to remove everything from our lives that keeps us from walking close to him in a love - faith relationship. So the suffering, as a result of wrong behavior, brings us closer to him or it can make us angry and push us away.
When you think of it, it's silly to get angry with God when we suffer as a direct result of our own behavior. But sometimes suffering is not our fault, what then?
4.To Help Us Understand God
There will be times when God allows us to suffer so we can understand how much he is in control and that he is able to work in peoples' lives. Jesus seemed drawn like a magnet to human grief, sorrow and suffering. God feels hurt and compassion when we suffer, his Spirit works to comfort us and to heal us. Since Christ suffered on the cross for our sins, he understands and cares.
Even if we cannot understand the exact whys behind our suffering we can still receive comfort and strength from a God who really understands and cares about us (2 Corinthians 1).

Great question!!
They do believe in God and also that He is watching every thought and action of theirs..... yet they are like this because they have also been told that God is all loving and all forgiving.... so they believe they can have the best of both worlds!!

The world would be soo much better. People just need something to believe in to get away from the hardships I guess.
Religion is, in a lot of ways, like drugs.

Yes, God did not do this to the world we did it! He gave us a place to look after and we are distroying it with our greed and self love.
God gave us free choice to do things and this is what we have done.
AS you said..if people really believe in God and that is part of it too. People really have to believe in him and not just say it. They have to live it! God truly has to be in their heart.
