Does the intriguing matchup of the Gators against Illinois (former coach Ron Zook) in the Outback Bowl hurt their chances of sneaking into one of the big four games as at at-large bid (well one of the three that accepts at large bids)?

i think they will have a good chance if they do their part and win big.also a few top schools lose their championship games.Hawaii has an inside track.its a mess,a good mess,with all that happened this weekend and we still have a couple of weeks left.

I don't see Florida going to one of the BCS bowls this year with 3 losses (Auburn, LSU and Georgia). They'll get a great bowl but it won't be one of the 4 BCS bowls or the NC game. There are a couple of better teams that will get in on an at-large bid this year.
There is nothing wrong with Florida playing Illinois this year. It would be great to see Florida beat the fighting zooksters into the ground!!!!

All 4 can be an at large bid first offf,,NC game is a separate 5th game.
Second off, there is no chance... I repeat no chance the Gators get a BCS bid this year,, they are 4th or 5th in there conference and have 3 losses....
@ Large bids..... Illinois, Kansas(possibly in the NC game if Oklahoma wins big 12 and WVU loses to PItt), Hawaii (top 10 automatic at large), and second place team from Pac 10 (probably ASU)

They're not getting an at-large bid, and Illinois is going to the Cap One Bowl, not the Outback.

the gators wont make it to a bcs bowl game this year. we are looking at either the capital one bowl, or the outback bowl. im actually pretty happy about that because that means i will be able to attend... just a short drive to either one! go gators!

Florida cannot make a BCS game... they're third in their conference. Illinois is probably going to a BCS game, provided VaTech beats BC
