Yes, all GPS units sold in the US will come with map of the US/Canada.

But you should probably ask this question in the Consumer Electronics category.

I purchased the sister model to this, the c340, last year for my wife. It works very well (even in small towns) and just got an award from Consumer Reports magazine as a best buy.

The key difference between the c330 and the c340 is the latter will say, "Turn right on Washington Street." The c330 will say, "Turn right in 300 feet." When you are driving in a strange place it is more helpful if the road name is mentioned.

If you buy online from a reputable site like Amazon.com they are almost the same price anyway. So I'd get the upgraded c340 if I were you.

If you'd like something a little slimmer consider the Nuvi 350. It's a little more money, but still under $300. It has all the features of the 340, but is smaller front to back (like a LCD monitor versus a CRT). Plus it has some extra stuff you probably won't use.

I couldn't beat the price on Amazon.com. Best Buy were asking over $400 for these units. If you buy online you'll save substantially.

Yes. It comes with the street-level maps of US and Canada but - just like everything else - terms are subject to change without notice. Make sure before you buy.
