yes ,if its a car battery,just be sure and loosen the caps a little on it and make sure its in a well ventilated area and check the water level in it before charging it,other than that put it on a slow charge for about 12 hours,never charge one fast it can ruin the cells in it,if it doesn't charge up good it may need replacing,good luck on it.

Car batteries ARE lead/acid batteries, but large ones.
Lead/acid batteries should not be too quickly charged,
and the maximum rate, (Amps), depends on their
size/capacity.
Car batteries can accept 5-10 Amp.s
Motorcycle Batteries 1-3 Amp.s.

That's what a battery charger is for. Make sure the charger is capable of being set to the voltage that the battery is supposed to be. Most car battery chargers will only put out 12 volts, so if it's not a 12 volt battery, don't.
