Varies for every writer...
Hope yours goes away soon - bet what you're writing will turn out awesome once you've overcome this little obstacle!!

Well walk around outside for a little while and bring a recorder or note pad and don't think at all about writing cause things just fly at u sometimes when u least expect it that or listen to music. You could also eat popcorn or something like that because some foods make you dream crazy dreams and everyone knows that a dream that's small could turn into a great story an ex. of this is Twilight. I'm giving you advice because writers block doesn't go away after a certain time.

Writer's block is really normal.
Maybe you just need to free write.
That means write whatever is on your mind, don't look over the grammar, the punctuation, spelling etc. while you're writing it.
Just write.
You'll find that, that exercise will at least get you started.
Best of luck and I hope your dreams become a reality.

It depends. I've learned it applies to music, writing stories, anything creative, so it's more of a "creative block" IMO.

Anyways, it can last a few minutes, a few hours, days, weeks, months, even years. I've actually started something, had a flow of ideas pour forth like Niagara Falls, then all of a sudden hit a brick wall, leave it go, forget about it for a few years, then remember it, and all of a sudden be inspired with all kinds of ideas and finish it.

Writer's Block lasts until you sit your butt down and just write. If it's lousy, dump it and write more. Don't think- write. This is the way you get your brain clear of the junk giving you the block.

It depends on the person & the reason for it.

If you're having trouble writing your "real" piece, every day write some free writing, like for 15 minutes, even if all you say is, "I don't know what to say. I feel awkward. I hate to write", or whatever. Just do that until you get over your block. It'll work.

well you dont indcate on a personal note that this is more creative rather than serious personal emotional distress so it scares me a little. like I posted some lyrics that yahoo took off like I knew they would because I am on the hit list. but it was kind of gloomy but it was in retrospect of something and I told people that so they wouldnt call 911 for me to take in to st lukes behavioral health care system. if u take the "i drink i somke" out of there its really pretty dang GOOD

Depends on the writer's rhythm.

It's over when it's over. What's actually happening is that you're mulling things over in your mind before putting anything down on paper. Give yourself time.

It depends on the current thoughts.
