human nature.. but my guy's kids are grown. and he treats my 6 year old as his own... couldn't ask for a better guy!!

if you are in this position, i feel for you.. it's not easy to treat, or have your children treated different than the others.. breeds resentment.

No, he does not, he loves them all the same. When we were younger and his girls came over we used to go to the show and out to eat and make merry when they came. He said that is not the correct way to do this because we only do it when my girls come and it makes it seem like they are more special in my heart and that is not the case. So they ended up doing what everyone did chores and things and then once a month they took turns deciding what fun thing we would do and then he always took time out for my children who how thinks he is the only man in the world!

It depends on the man. My step dad always treated me and my bros the same as he did his real children. You would never know that we were his steps and the other boys were his real.
