Yes there should be no distinction but I as a Female vet know there is and I want honest opinions of what the public feels. If you have never served PLEASE do not get mad about me asking. Those who have served know why I ask.

Any one that has served out country Honorably is a vet. Both you and I have. I am male and you are female. I make no distinction in this matter. I would put a little difference to vets that have only served during peace time and not gotten deployed. Or one that has served during war time but was home based.

Or some one like you and I that have been over there and shot at.

How ever they still raised there right hand and swore to defend this country agenst all enemies. They are all vets unless they have dishonored there uniform. Soldiers that have faked being sick, or gay, or bed wetters. They dishonor there vow to defend this country.

Why are you or anyone else trying to make a distinction? A vet is simply someone who answered the call of our country to fight and did so. Period. There is honor and distinction in that whether you're male or female. There should be NO distinction when to the term "vet" at all!

As far as I'm concerned, its anyone who has served honorably in the armed forces. Someone who gets kicked out in basic, or for pissing hot, not a veteran.

Anyone that has sacrificed years from their life in service of our country. Gender and ethnicity are irrelevant, its what they've done.
