After what happend with Gore do you believe this election will be fair ?
I'm a little uneasy that my vote will not even count.
I am voting Ron Paul and even though he has excellent stats in the polls its like hes banned by the media.
It seems unfair and Im just wondering will this election be fair.

a_wood about your comments that Ron Paul has alienated hiself... If he was not a good candidate he would not be popular with the people. He has a good following for a reason the mdeida bans him because the poeple who own those stations spin things the way the gov. tells them too
Thats why Im so nervous they will not only manipulate the media but possibly manipulate the actual count itself.

ok so far most everyone has answered that they believe our election system is corrupt. So how then do people argue America is still a free country if our ability to vote is corrupted and predetermined

Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the “one exception to the Gang of 535” on Capitol Hill.

It sounds to me like everyone here think that just one person counts all the votes. The votes are counted by thousands of election officers across the country. If you have never been part of the voting process like being a poll watcher, worker or observer then you will never know whether a vote was fair or fraud. It's not who has the most votes, it's who counts the votes. That person who counts the votes is voted in by you.

Yes I do, I think the electoral votes were too much of a land slide for Obama because the popular vote was not that far off between the two candidates... and states such as Florida and North Carolina having such a narrow win for democrats makes me feel like it was rigged... because I am from Florida and do not believe they would have voted for Obama.

You have to MAKE your vote count... go to the polls, get involved, volunteer for your party and BE HEARD.

There is waay too much moving and shaking going on right now to fade out and not be visible... that has always been the democratic plight.

We have some wonderful assets this time... Hillary is only getting so much negativity on Y!A because she is so high in the polls... but Obama is also climbing up and even surpassed her in Iowa...

Obamas wife is an awesome asset to the party as well.
People still like Edwards enough to listen to him - he just fell behind because of the "star power" of the other two... not because his politics were bad.

We are the first party to produce a Woman and a man of color as Presidential candidates... things have already changed!

Even as a Ron Paul supporter (which I just noticed you were) you have to let the Republicans know that their tired old neo-conism is not why you are voting for them!!!
Republicans who support Ron Paul MUST let their party know!

tricia, i agree with you about the stations being owned and because of that they can change the outcome of an election.
the media has so much power and the people closely associated with it or any other big business control this nation. we are only told what those select people want us to know and the average american doesn't have a chance to make an informed decision about anything because we are only aware of what we are "allowed" to know.
i hope ron paul can make it thru all he will have to go thru to get recognition and a fair chance (laughter in background).
our voting system doesn't work anymore. we all saw what happened and the results so it's going to interesting to see who the media has picked out for us with the upcoming election.

I don't think the 2008 election will even take place. Since it is within his power and Daddy Bush would want it this way, Bush Jr. is going to declare marshal law. Therefore cementing his place in office for as long as he so very well wishes. Now, after reading this, I'm sure you're saying, "No way! He would never do that!'

Ask Yourself this:
If your family has been living richly off of war and oil and young lives for so many years, and you see the inevitable succession of family lineage coming to an end, why would you throw it all away to fade into post-presidential obliqueness?

You wouldn't, for you rule this country and the idiots in it who actually believe you won this seat rightfully in the first place!

Exactly how do you define fair??? Your Gore comment suggests that you have reality problems. You can vote for Ron Paul if you want but you do need to understand what you are doing. Of course, Paul is not going to get the GOP nomination. Don't believe a lot of this polling stuff. Not with all the reports coming out about Soros tampering with databases by having hundreds if not thousands of people sitting around slanting computer polls.

Gore lost in 2000 in four separate recounts. Give it up and accept reality.

The media will warp the masses towards Hillary and Guilliani. If people dont start thinking for themselves, the election will be as much a joke as the war in Iraq.

Probably about as fair as any have been in the last 25-30 years.

As soon as we remove Rodham Clinton from the race, at least on the Democrat side. Then we need to remove Romney and Guiliani and Paul and Keyes and Kucinich and Richardson and on and on and on.
