My computer is only 11 months old, and I'm getting a"Your computer is low on virtual memory. windows is increasing the size, during this time many memory applications may be denied" or something along those lines. WHY? It's only 11 months old! I never run two programs at once, and aside from my pictures and audio files, there is nothing really stored on my computer. Yahoo messenger, Chuzzle and Kodak Easyshare...thats it. Thats all that's on my computer. What can I do to stop this message? This is the same message I was getting on my last computer, right before it crashed so I'm kind of worried here. I checked and my virtual memory is set to 669.

I do have virus protection. Earlier this year, I had AOL, and now I have the virus protection that came with my internet provider, PeoplePC. I've done a zillion disc cleanups, defragments, deleting cooking, temp. internet files, everything. I trash stuff all the time, because I'm so worried about using up all the space on the pc.

Where do you buy more RAM from anyway?

How much memory do you have? If you're computers complaining about 669 MB then kick it up to 2 GB. It sounds like you can spare it.

How many mgb's of ram do you have" Mine was doing the same thing but I have tons of stuff on mine . I had 512 MGB of Ram and upgraded to 1 Gig bite. I no longer get that message. but I also had 3 antvirus programs and 1 spyware running in the tool bar all the time and I have many complex purchased games.. This message would usually happen while playing a game. I also leave my puter on almost all the time and the virus programs run and update automatically. The message you receive no longer pops up here since I added extra ram but I have to reboot every 2 days and my repair guy says that either something on the mother board is going out or the power source is. My puter locks up if I don't reboot every other day and I have been on it all day as usual. Sometimes it will also act up if you don't keep the fans clean of dust, then it over heats and you have problems. My Virtual memory is set at 672.

the age of it is kinda irrelevant because it was probably a budget machine to begin with

and with windows the older your computer gets the more it gets bogged down with crap

you should either upgrade the RAM or reinstall windows

http://www.crucial.com/index.aspx?&pid=2661559

and click "scan my system" it will tell you what kinda RAM you need

get at least a gigabyte of it

but an OPERATING SYSTEM REINSTALL is way better than all those things you mentioned like defrags and C: clean ups

just back up your important files and boot from your Xp or Vista disc and delete everything my formating and put a fresh copy of the OS on there

a local nerd can do it for you for cheap because the computer already has the vista or Xp sticker on the side so you don't even have to buy a new copy because when you bought the computer you bought a license to Xp or vista (which ever you have)

they recommend atleast 12 months of age (longer with a family history of milk allergy) because the sooner you introduce milk to more like an allergic reaction could happen and also some children have a hard time digesting the cows milk and so it does damage to intestines and can lead to anemia. So if you are thinking about doing it a month early let the Dr know so that if there is a reaction the Dr will be aware of what the problem could be. With that said both my boys refused formula and would only drink pediasure or milk at about 9 months old but i talked to the dr first and watched for signs of a reaction.

Click set then ok , click ok till you exit the system box . This should help you greatly.

when you use a program, it takes memory from the cache to use. When it's finished it send the memory back to the cache, but not all of it goes back. This is known as memory leak, and after using the computer for a long time, quite a bit of this 'leak' occurs, until there is not much left in the cache. To re-set the cache, you should turn the computer completely off at the power, and then re-start it.

relax hun the pagefile is just an area on your hard drive the pc uses as ram when it runs low. its normal and if its a big problem buy more ram but be careful putting it in. ive herd that HP doesnt put too much ram in ther new machines so just find out what type of ram your pc needs and get some. 2 gigs is what most high end pcs have ATM but as i sayed relax it just needed more space to operate.

also turn it off when your done useing it not hybernate of suspend. this will clear out your ram and its good for the envroment (zomg did i just say that! what has come over me?)

that message doesn't really mean much. the chance that your computer crashed last time becuse of virtual memory is very slim, don't worry about it.

Hmmm, it sounds like you got a bug of some sort. What anti-virus software are you running on it?
