Missouri, West Virginia, and Ohio State are the 3 remaining 1 loss teams that have the ability to win BCS conferences (Kansas has only 1 loss, but they can't win the Big 12 because they lost to Missouri and are in the same division of the conference). Hawaii is the lone unbeaten team remaining.
Major Victories for the teams are:
Hawaii: 39-27 over Boise State (1 of just 2 losses for the Broncos in the 2 years their coach has been there)
Missouri: 40-37 @ Illinois, 41-6 over Nebraska, 41-10 over Texas Tech, 55-10 over Colorado, 40-26 over Texas A&M, 36-28 over Kansas, lost to Oklahoma 41-31
Ohio State: 23-7 at Purdue, 37-17 at Penn State, 38-17 VS Wisconsin, 14-3 at Michigan, lost to Illinois 28-21
West Virginia: 31-3 at Rutgers, 38-31 over Louisville, 28-23 at Cincinnati, 66-21 over Connecticut, lost to South Florida 21-13
My rankings are:
1.Hawaii
2.Missouri
3.West Virginia
4.Ohio State

Here's the remaining schedule for the 4 contenders:
Hawaii plays Washington @ 11:30 PM eastern next Saturday night
Missouri plays Oklahoma next week in the Big 12 Championship game (which is a rematch of their lone defeat of the year).
West Virginia plays their rival Pittsburgh next Saturday
Ohio State is off until January.

Hawaii has a really good team, but you put them up against any of the top ten teams, and they lose by double digits to all of them.I am not dogging them;i do like Hawaii, and I am always rooting for underdogs(non-BCS teams). They were a better team last year.I think it's a toss-up between WVU and Missouri.

I don't understand why Hawaii isn't the #1 team in the nation. They are the only school who hasn't lost a single game, and yet the are ranked below even Florida, who has 3 losses! My No. 1 pick is Hawaii. After that is Ohio State, because they have won almost every game played by quite a substantual margian. Their game scores often went into the 40's and sometimes 50 or more. I give 3rd place to West Virginia, and 4th to Missouri.

1. Missouri
2. West Virginia
3. Hawaii
4. Ohio St.
Missouri looked pretty convincing against Kansas today. West Virginia stomped U Conn.
About Hawaii, it's true they have a horrible schedule. But it's not really Hawaii's fault. They tried very hard to book a solid schedule, especially knowing Colt was coming back for another season and a potential Heisman run. But ALL the big name teams backed out. That includes USC, Michigan, and Michigan St. You can try to figure out why.
Of course a schedule that could've been is not a schedule that is. And if Hawaii didn't beat Boise St. last night, it would not be unreasonable to keep them out of a BSC game at all.
But if you watched the Boise St game, you would have seen a Hawaii offense that did what it always does, which is score fast and often. You also would see a largely unheralded Hawaii defense stop one of the nation's premier running backs, Ian Johnson.
Hawaii is a completely legit team, and last night should have proven that.
Hawaii definitely deserves to be in a BCS game if they beat Washington. I don't think they should be 3 in the nation, but if I'm given the above 4 teams to choose from, then I put them ahead of Ohio St. who similarly hasn't played a very difficult schedule and have a loss. But they're Ohio St. so they get to be in the national championship picture.

Does it matter who is 1 and who is 2?
IF Missouri beats Oklahoma and W Virginia beats Pitt, they will play for the NC.... if either lose then Ohio State takes their place...
if both lose Ohio St should play Kansas for the NC..
They would be the only 1 loss teams left.
It would not be the first time an @ large team made the NC...
Reference Nebraska's whooping by (i believe) Miami a few years back. in (again i believe) the Rose Bowl NC game.
edit: by the way gregory Illinois is ranked 17, Arkansas and Kentucky are both UNRANKED....

Hawaii is a joke. They beat Nevada by just TWO points. Nevada was smoked by Nebraska 52-10 who was smoked by Missouri 41-6. Nuff said. Hawaii has not proven anything. As far as Boise State, who had they beaten? Wait until Hawaii loses to a mediocre Washington team.
Granted that Brennan was on the sidelines, but if they were the #1 powerhouse you say they still would have blown out Nevada. Instead they very nearly lost. Hawaii couldn't hang with the big boys and Brennan's stats wouldn't be nearly as impressive if Hawaii were in a major conference.

If you watched the WVU game today you would agree that they dominated. When their offense is clicking they cannot be stopped. Of course this is my opinion and have no idea what the actual BCS rankings will be. And Missouri proved tonight with a strong first 3 quarters that they can play. Ohio State can come out anyday and hang with anyone. I would love to see Hawaii try to stack up with a LSU WVU or Ohio State

heres the problem
Hawaii did great being the only undefeated team this year
they deserve to be the WAC champs and get a new years bowl game. also lots of respect for being the ONLY team to get through unbeaten.
But let's be realistic- it would be painful to watch them against any of the top 10 teams,
as for the top 4 teams, WVA, OSU, MIZZ, and GA Bulldogs
LSU - dont make me laugh. They could lose half their games and there would still be people trying to say they should be #1
EDIT- Cmon Jethro, hawaii looked great cuz they never played anyone with a def line that could roll over them and disrupt their plays.

dude, Hawaii beat Nevada by 2 points with the best pure passer in the nation (the record books indicate possibly the best EVER) on the sidelines. there is NO team in the nation that could or would blow out Hawaii. watch them play some time, don't just read their schedule back.
1. WV
2. Hawaii
3. Ohio St.
4. Mizzou (with win over Oklahoma, go to #3)
in reality, WV and Mizz play for title if both win next week. fortunately for OSU, they will not get paired against Hawaii. Hawaii WILL beat whoever they play in a bowl game, BCS or not.

Hawaii - undefeated. So what? They played NOBODY. They needed OT to beat Louisiana Tech and San Jose St. Kansas was undefeated too and their schedule was much tougher than Hawaii's yet Kansas was really untested and got pretty much beat down tonight.

I have Hawaii as #1. Don't give me the "look at their schedule" bull. Winning is tough to do no matter who you play. Seven #1 and 2 have lost to unranked teams this year. Hawaii is an exciting team to watch (I love the spread offense) and deserves at least a BCS bowl game.
