DEPENDS! I like getting best answer since it usually means the person agrees with me. Extra points is just an added benefit.
However, when it comes to stating an opinion about somethings, I'll just say what I want even though I KNOW the person will disagree. For example, there was a "shout out" for Ron Paul. Mine wasn't a shout out! I probably will get lots of thumbs down from all the Paul-ites. As you can tell, I'm a "little" opinionated.

I like to answer the question, and if I get best answer that makes me happy but only if the asker himself/herself picked my answer ... I don't get happy from getting voted as the best answer because I know it's not really genuine(i.e., maybe my answer was just at the top of the list, so voting for it was easier for people)

i get my best answers in other categories that are more specific and require an answer where i have real knowledge. i don't think i have ever gotten a best answer in polls and surveys...b/c the questions don't require much insight. no offense to the top answerers, though! u know what i mean :)

I'd rather answer a boring question and get best answer than answering an interesting question and not be rewarded.

I love to answer the questions. Its like conversation for me. Im a housewife, It gets lonely at home sometimes, and this keeps me entertained. PLUS, I like alot of the people here.*
