There's no "should" about it. He is or he isn't. Jealousy or possessiveness can't be rationalised. It seems reasonable to me that he would be jealous of the attention (if nothing else!) you are giving to Bobby B.

Its if you start to think that your life would be better with any of your mythical friends and you dump real life people to be with us, then that is a problem.

I am sure I would be if I were him....although it depends on exactly what you mean by "off and on". If it's more "off" than "on", one would think that the jealousy levels might be lower.
