does anybody else think the internet is crap?

Question

the net is full of porn, child hunters and useless info.
some people might have great use for it but i dont like this stupid site, all i use it for is playing dominoes, some basic banking needs and downloading alot of music and screener movies so i can rip off artists from making money, we should all do that so these freeks we call stars have to earn 500 a week not a second and we all turn our backs to the stars so they become average joes and have to work at macca's or something flipping beef patties and fatting the youth to obese sizes and fill the corinary care units in hospitals with heart problems caused by the fast food nazis

Gosh - you have some issues... well, let's see.

First, the Internet is a huge resource, which can be used for good or bad. The Internet in and of itself isn't either good or bad, but it can be used for many different things.

It's kind of like television, or automobiles... look at the stuff on television - is it good or bad? What about cars? In the right hands they're useful tools for getting around, in the wrong hands they're death machines, like war tanks.

Umm... getting pirated music and videos is illegal, and you shouldn't be doing that or belittling it. If you like the artists then wouldn't you naturally want them to be rewarded for their hard work?

edit: i just read your question again ... lol... yeah, the internet does have a lot of junk on it - there's a bit too much porn, useless information, blogs that nobody really reads much, and spam. what can you do though? I think we should take a stance though on fighting spam, porn, and those stalkers/pedophiles online who kidnap kids.

I say if you don't like it, don't use it. No one is saying you 'have' to use it. You are 'choosing' to use it. You have free will, so use that. Yes, all that crap is on the Internet, but there is also many other good things on it. I have learned many new things on the Internet. If I didn't have it, then I may not have learned it withought having to go down to the library, search millions of books for it, then read a huge book just to learn what I can learn on here in a matter of minutes without having to search very much information. I believe it's all a matter of your own perspective (how you see things) and how you choose to use the Internet.
