No, I actually feel like it's too short. Six months of baseball is not enough! People who say it's too long, aren't fans of the game. They don't understand. I don't hear people complaining (other than me) about soccer season being too long, that goes on all year long. I don't think they'll make baseball season shorter in the future, at least I hope not.

I'm a big baseball fan, and a traditional one, but I'll admit that it may be a little too long...
I think they should maybe go back go the 154 game season, but that would only shave about 10 days off of the regular season, not much when you look at the five month season as a whole. So 162 is fine, but maybe 154 would be better. I don't think it should be any less than that.
The bigger problem is that the playoffs are too long. They don't need a travel day all the time (during the season teams travel across country or half-way across country and then play the next day). Especially this year, MLB put too many days in between playoff series. The World Series was actually supposed to end in November if it had gone 7 games...that is WAY TOO LONG!!!
Another problem, maybe a bigger problem, is that the stadiums are too large. In many cities they don't come close to selling out on a day to day basis. The games aren't anything special between May and August and even in August/September only a handful of teams are in the playoff chase...and baseball admits the fewest percentage of teams into the playoffs. The staidums are built for the playoffs, so that MLB can get 40-50,000 people in there during the playoffs, but only about 20-30,000 regularly show up at game for many teams...on the weekend. This is worse in some markets like KC, Pittsburgh, and Miami. Maybe if there were fewer tickets it would be a more special event, even on a day to day basis, and that would get people a little reinterested in baseball.

Baseball season is too short. Football in Europe is almost year around. Thats how Baseball should be in the US. With some international play in the winter.

Yes it's too long!
If they dropped it down to say something like NO GAMES played...I probably wouldn't notice.
Look, I'm an old fan...I played the game as a kid and enjoying coaching the game...but it has become old school/boring.
Way too many meaningless games and quite frankly the game itself is too slow.
You know what would make this game better?
How about if it where played on ICE!!!

No. It can never be changed because then no records could ever be matched. I would prefer a shorter post season - but what the heck - Baseball is great!

I'd like to see if go back to 154 games. With the expanded playoffs we're just going too late into the Autumn.
