For the past two weeks my chest (the area above my boobs) has been hurting really bad. I think it may be just a pulled muscle (I work with special needs kids and I do a lot of lifting) but I'm not sure. Anyone know anything else it could be?

No shortness in breath or pain in arm... it does hurt a little if I cough. I'm hoping it's just a pulled muscle. I can't afford to go to the doc right now.

When do you notice your soreness? Is it all the time or only when you move? How is your health otherwise? Is it sensitive to the touch? Does the pain come & go?
I would check in with the school nurse, if you can't see a physician right now. It sounds more like overuse of the those muscles...time to do some push ups.. :)
Signs for women with heart problems can be left arm pain, or jaw pain or indigestion...

Have you been feeling any shortness of breath or discomfort in your right arm? Oftentimes the symptoms of cardiac problems in women are different than in men.

If it's that hard area, the rib area that hurts, it may be a musculo-skeletal (pulled muscle rubbing against the rib). Or it could also be a case of chostochondritis. Talk to your doc and see what he thinks.
