Yeah it is me, but I remember. When you get older, and have given birth to four children naturally, and your pelvic floor muscles get dementia, when you make that mad dash for the toilet, and you have so much pressure built up there, and you have to bend to lift the toilet seat, putting immense pressure on your bladder. You tend to leave the lid up as it is best to just be able to drop em, and sit down quick. Also, another problem is, I live in a townhouse, and the toilet is upstairs, so the stairs have a contribution to the problem also. LOL I know, poor old thing, LOL

I love your question...made me laugh as I think the inside of a toilet is just plain ugly...has nothing to do with gender...I also like the bathroom to be clean and sanitary. I once told a male friend that the first thing I do when I go visit is check out the bathroom, if the seat is up, unflushed, hairs hanging off everything...I am outta there because I know I couldn't face that every day lol. He said he went and totally cleaned his bathroom and slammed the lid down. My husband was so good about it as his Mom had him already trained. Never, ever left the lid up of course until the one night that I had to make a quick midnight run....guess what happened. lol. Mmm

Not really. It's not quiet a rule in my household. Perhaps women should leave the toilet seat up? Everybody uses the toilet, who knows who's going to use it next?

No, I don't Of course, I live alone here, but I ALWAYS put the seat down. So does my son when he comes to visit. However, my ex-gf used to leave the seat up. But then she was born on the other side of the world.

I used to be one of those that would say that if it was my responsibility to lift the seat it was hers to put it down...
Untill I went into the bathroom one night for a bit of a sitdown and sat in cold water. Needless to say I do not hold that view any more.

Yes. And it drives me crazy. Not because it is a female/male war, but because I simply don't want to see inside the toilet when I don't have to and I don't want to risk anything accidently falling in there!!
