Ones that are issued since July, 2007 are "good forever", meaning that if the first class rate increases, the stamps will still cover the full postage.

Unfortunately, the post office also issued stamps in the past with no price, labeled only "First Class". These have a specific value. You can find the stamp's value by going to a post office.

The first class stamp is the current going price. Currently $.41

You can mail a regular size letter up to 1 oz for one first class stamp. They dont print the price on them anymore because they keep raising the price and the stamp is always good for the current going price.
