I would like something that is exceedingly warm --- this is not a coat for show. It is *freezing* there in the winter! However, I would like something that is cute since I'm going to have to wear it daily for several months a year!

I want something that looks fitted and feminine (definitely something that comes in at the waist) but is incredibly warm. I don't mind puffy coats, in fact, I like puffy coats.

I am *really* tiny. 5'7 and a size 00 or 0. Anyone have any recommendations on something that's stylish, fitted, and as warm as an anorak or parka?

Thanks! :)

Yeah, I am living in Nebraska now, and it is crazy cold! Anyway, I got my coat from LL Bean. It is the warmest parka ever. Goose down. Or, you can always get a coat when you get here. There is an Urban Outfitters in Omaha, which will sell a little more expensive, but fashionable coats. Then there is also Scheel's which will sell expensive good looking coats as well. And, of course the cheaper retail stores.

But, I would certainly recommend LL Bean. I have had mine here in Nebraska for about 5 years, and have never once been cold in it including those few mornings when it is 10 or more below zero and the dog needs a walk.

Call information, get the number of LL Bean or their website . You can order a very warm coat through their catalog. When you arrive in Nebraska they have consignment shops, you might find another warm coat for less money too.

I stay in Michigan and it truly is about 37 degrees right here on the instantaneous. So, definite, I placed on a wintry climate coat now -- a minimum of contained in the nighttime and nighttime. I basically wore a mild jacket this afternoon even as the sunlight changed into out and it changed into round fifty 2 or so.

Land's End Also has good winter coats (landsend.com). But everyone who said LL Bean is dead on! I used to live in northwestern Maine where we had temps sometimes -20 F or so (not including "wind chill"...) and there's nothing like Bean clothes to keep you warm. Check out their boots too!

One with goose downs or a parka. They may be ugly but it's better to be ugly than cold!

Is Nebraska cold? It's a ways south of me! Enjoy the cows and corn!

Hey, our last snow is already melted away (Omaha). It's above 40 during the day now, and will be for another couple days. I throw on my windbreaker when it hits 20 going down. Geez, I almost felt bad for ya reading your question ;)

Talk to ya later!
Have a great night!

Wear what you have been wearing cause when you get used to it you will not need much as you think k! Just wear a extra pair of socks and gloves k! I really don't think that it is a difference in Nebrask than any where else in the states unless u are moving from Arizona k? Or Mexico.
