Not always no, it has been my experience that you have to "earn" it. That's not the way it is, that's just the way it's been for me. So, it's difficult to accept that someone could love me for who I am, completely and without expectations. It's a new experience to say the least.

You can help stop these feeings by focusing on all your positive traits and spend time doing things you are a good at. That will surely help your self esteem. Be proud of being shy! Being shy is not a negative thing at all - the world needs shy people. Could you imagine how chaotic the world would be if everyone was loud and extroverted? Don't worry about other girls, remember that he is with you because he wants to be with you - and not them. Sure, there may be prettier and more confident girls out there, but he chose you, above everyone else. Just remember that and you will be fine.
