It's really sad and ashame that blacks and whites seem to be the only racial groups in America and that other races are barely even acknowledged. Whats even worse is that it's 2007 and there's always some racist crap on the news or something.

When are people gonna wake up and see that were all the same?

And why don't enough people speak up against racism and any other kind of prejudice, instead of ignoring it if it has nothing to do with you?

What the USA stands for is freedom, and that should mean free from racism.

Well, we were pretty much the only groups IN America for a while. Native Americans & Mexicans were basically an issue on the frontier. So, it was black and white.

Nowadays, it is becoming black and light. If you consider the interracial marriage between white and Hispanics or whites and Asians, you could say these three groups are becoming one light group.

For one to speak up against racism, there is more to it than what you would imagine.

For example, I have noticed that eastern countries such as Japan, China and India, people from there tend to be more reserved than anyone else. They normally do not dispute things for silly things. Racism to them is silly. While they acknowledge it and are aware that racism is part of the society and factually they might have been the victims of it themselves, they still will not talk against it. Its really their grassroots, ethinicity and cultural practices that give them such level of patience that they tend to move forward by ignoring racism.

However, other races such as Black and White people in USA are more driven by pride. They also react, acknowledge and tend to actually take action to complaint as apppropriately as they feel needed. This is primarily because of their backgrounds. They are brought up looking at these issues, hence tend to dispute them more than others.

Mexicans or Hispanic are the largest minority if everyone didn't know that already. And to be honest the reason their is racism is due to old tradition and lack of exposure to other race mostly. In my opinion race equity has gotten so much better but it will never be perfect.

Whites are the majority and blacks were the largest minority - today, it would be accurate to say that America is white and Mexican (White and Red??).

Aside from the few diehard white racists in America, we have done all we can do to try to even things out. Look at the crime rate in American on the Justice dept. site. 90% of black violent crime is against white people. 13% is white on black crime. Who are the real racists in America?
