If it was not showing any aggression I would just like any other breed of dog.

Sure. I'd ask the owner, but never approach one that looked like a stray or that was chained up with no one around. I've known some very sweet pit bulls. It's the owner that makes a difference in the dog's temperament. There are some pit bull owners I'd never pet!

you would have to drag me away with wild horses, those are two of my favorite breeds of dogs
i love rottie's they are so sweet
and my sister has had several pit's thought the years, they always think they are lap dogs when they are around her (she's 5ft barley and is 110 lbs) have the time the dogs weigh more than her but they are always so kind and gentle
just because the are a guard breed they have been given a bad reputations and are usually sweet, loyal, loving dogs
but they will protect their owner if someone is hurting them and they can do damage.
i respect and love all animals

some of the sweetest dogs i know are pit bulls and rotties.
it's all about how they're raised. they're not bad dogs... people make them bad...
so my answer is yes, i would pet a pit bull or a rottie.

Rot, yes, i had one for 9 years and he protected me from two rob incidents. I trained him though, when he was very young so he was super loyal. If you don't, they can be viscious. I don't really know about pit bulls but one attacked my rot once and the rot kicked the the pitbull's rear.

sure, my aunt had a pit bull and he used to put his head on my lap to be petted all the time

I have a Rottweiler hes friendly as long as you're female...he hates men

I wouldnt pet a random one but if i knew the owner and the dog was nice then, why not?

pitbulls are about the best dogs you can find---my son has two of them, they love other dogs, they lick the cat---raise a pit right and you have the best, most loving dog there is

yes. If it wasn't foaming at the mouth, or trying to jump up and bite my face off. A neighbor of mine has a rotweiler that is so scary looking, but is gentle as a butterfly.
