New York - - - I need my creature comforts and despite the frightful winters the New York colony offered the most in the way of opportunity for a person such as mehe Dutch influence lingered, and before it became crowded Manhattan was a garden as was Long Island which was America's first breadbasket. New York was both a Seaport and a River port but ALSO, and modern Americans forget this, but an Intercoastal Port. Sea traffic between the colonies traveled via Long Island Sound.

Massachusetts
Because that is where my family, landed in 1632, so why change it, it's worked out well so far. Now that we have California it's near perfect, except we still have Washington DC, can't win em all.
