I dont know where it is on the keyboard. what else can i do? im not good with computers. my son hookes this new system for us but he is stumped too. we had to change windows because we bought the computer from someone my husband worked for and dont have any codes it says u need. HELP!! thanks in advance

You changed it from Windows to what?

You are most likely missing the proper drivers for your sound card. You may have to play detective. If you know the manufacturer and model of your sound card, the manufacturer's web site often has drivers available.

look on the back and see if the lite green plug is in the lite green hole and check the power on the speakers

if it is a branded pc then go on to it brand site and look for the audio drivers by the model no under support and drivers

if it is unbranded pc then check if the green plug is a separate card by itself (in the card slots on the bottom)or is next to the network and usb connection.

open the case
if it is a separate card then check the brand and model of the card if not then check the model of the motherboard which the green plug is attached too.

Then search for the drivers by the model no.
