Today I saw a really cute pony. It looks similar to a belgian draft cross, with the blondish mane and tail. Its coat is a chestnut/brown color.
It looks almost like the horse on the far right in this picture.

it may be a halflinger, they are usually a palimino with a flaxen mane and tail. I have one and she is a cross with a painted horse, so she has some white patches on her withers. a belgian is a large draft horse so I doubt that it is a cross of one of these. to my knowledge halflingers are the smallest draft breeds out there, they are a stout breed and are built for pulling or driving. they shouldn't be more than 13 hands or so...(1 hand = 4 inches)...if I could see the head of this horse in the pic, I could be more certain, as they have a large head and a thick neck.

i'm biased. My boy's a Haflinger. i'm bought on Haffies. they're outfitted difficult, stout and tanky sufficient to hold a medium-sized person, they are able to pass barefoot (impressive because of the fact i'm dealing with 8-week trims for my boy, and it ability i will save a sprint $$$) and consume grass hay, and don't likely require grain. i like their laid-decrease back physique of suggestions, i will pass a week without actual using, yet can hop on and only bum around on my pony without making a huge deal out of him not being ridden for that quantity of time. As so a techniques as path ponies pass, i like the Haffies. consumer-friendly to mount and dismount on path, consumer-friendly-going. What a great breed!

I'd say Haflinger or Haflinger cross.

That horse in the photo looks more like a QH or QH cross than a Draught though.

the color is called "Sorrell" if that's what you're looking for. As far as the breed, could be any number, without seeing the head and the way the horse moves, can't tell from a static (still) picture.

Hmmm. A Hafflinger/Haflinger (different people spell it different ways) is my best guess. But it resembles a Quarter Horse in the stockiness.

Hm... it /could/ be a Hafflinger, though they DO have fully blonde tails on average. I'm guessing it was probably a mix. Cute, though. :D
