Yeah I watched it. She was a bow wow. I lived the '70's, the stupid hideous leisure suit and Disco scene. All I got to say about it is the music was great. The rest .....lame. Travolta really could dance- it wasn't for me.

I have just bought a copy! I was a trained classical dancer and danced professionally until I was 33.
As a dancer John Travolta was very talented, and Saturday Night Fever, and Staying Alive, gave him the freedom, and the platform, to use his talent. I loved them. I also loved Grease.
Over the years, he has become a more serious actor, with some good comedy Films along the way. He has never been a disappointment to me in any of the films he has starred in. He is versatile, he is an intelligent and deep actor. And what I do admire, is that, for the most part, he has kept his private life out of the media, and not become too much part of the Hollywood funny farm.
When my late husband and I married, the film Moment by Moment came on circuit, and the song from that, was "our song". Everytime we turned on the radio, it was playing. Could only find it by Rod Stewart BUT HAVE A LISTEN! PLEASE.

Do you mean Karen Lynn Gorney or Donna Pescow? When I look at pictures I think we were all pretty scary looking in the 70's. 80's were even less attractive. Never was into disco. But I could watch John Travolta all day and night-Even now. He has definitely aged well.

I haven't seen that movie in awhile and can't remember what the she looked like. I do like John Travolta though, then and now. A bunch of us friends used to go dancing when disco was popular and we actually had a great time. I think a lot of the things we did or wore then look funny to us now though. lol

I think the music was the closest thing to big band that they could come up with to dance to in the 80's. The stuff in the 70's was impossible to actually dance to. As for the movie, I don't think there were very many good ones from the 60's through the 80's as far as I can remember. As fa as looks goes the only one who had it going on was John Travolta!!
Plum you are reading my mind again! lol!

I loved and still do disco. I loved John's dancing,I have seen that movie at least 15 times. I love Donna Pesco but not in that role and I think the other lady was cast wrong, she was not pretty but she had a good body, she was just not right for that part.

Sorry. The woman was homely as a mud fence and as for as Travolta, I like him better now than I used to, especially in movies like 'Basic' or 'The General's Daughter'.

I liked the movie well enough then, but can't say I'd watch it anymore. Disco, for it's time, was fun, no redeeming value to it I guess, but I do know how to do all the dances. Guess now it would just be good on Funniest Home Video's all the old folks doing The Hustle. lol

dude no way...my wife and I were also watching on cable and I said to her "all the chicks around in the late 70's, and this is what they casted...she is nasty"
Love the cyring scene in Travolta's car. She is gross
Nice legs though
The dancing scenes were Saturday Night Fever moves

Fer shame. Why put the poor woman down because she's not a knockout?
I didn't see the movie, but we just finished watching a tape of the last Sarah episode on CSI, and a lot of viewers (at least those who wrote to TV Guide) couldn't stand her because she wasn't beautiful!
So, being considerably older than the knockout I once was, I sort of root for the bags and skags these days.
