If you have the spirit of independent thought and are certain your motives are to that end for everyone then you should go ahead to them. The world is made of all kinds of people and this is a reasonable environment to practice your pedagogy.

Socrates is renowned for developing the practice of a philosophical type of pedagogy, in which the teacher asks questions of the student in order to elicit the best answer, and fundamental insight, on the part of the student.

Hegel thought Socrates and Platos pedagogy was a use for dialectic: 'Dialectic, it may be added, is no novelty in philosophy. Among the ancients Plato is termed the inventor of Dialectic; and his right to the name rests on the fact that the Platonic philosophy first gave the free scientific, and thus at the same time the objective, form to Dialectic. Socrates, as we should expect from the general character of his philosophising, has the dialectical element in a predominantly subjective shape, that of Irony. He used to turn Dialectic, first against ordinary consciousness, and then especially against the Sophists. In his conversations he used to simulate the wish for some clearer knowledge about the subject under discussion, and after putting all sorts of questions with that intent, he drew those with whom he conversed to the opposite of what their first impressions had pronounced correct. Ridicule? that's no longer honest i do no longer think of...yet to pose judgmental questions after all isn't honest the two. everybody who's been right here for any volume of time is familiar with the ridicule runs in all instructions. i in my opinion think of valid questions must be left on my own via "the competition," and that i do no longer answer extreme questions that don't pertain to me. back, i think of that would desire to be the case on all facets. even however, people who have not got a spiritual or religions association are nonetheless entitled to debate such matters.

It's a battleground
the sad thing is...it's allowed to continue
good questions are asked and get mangled so that nothing is taken seriously
I don't take either site seriously anymore...sad

religion and politics are sensitive areas for a lot of people ... unless I've had a really good day and am riding high, I don't even go there ... I don't need my ideas shot down by someone who just feels like being nasty ...
