Is it harder for you to trust?

Yes, and i sometimes wonder why it is that I allow people in and for them to have access to my heart but in the end I do not trust easily but I always seem to allow them in anyway. It is strange no matter how often i get hurt, I always seem to leave it open to the possibility of hurt again. either I am a sucker for punishment or I really believe in opening ones heart to all experiences even the bad. Still not sure which one I am or maybe i'm both but to take a chance on love, to give or receive love is worth the possible risk of getting a broken heart.

This happend to me a while ago, but i think the answer is Always....
The more I got over it though the more I realized, what is the point of life if you can not trust people?
Life is too boring if you are constantly guarded, so i just roll with the ups and downs, and trust me the ups are so much better if you just leave your whole heart open....
(obviously leave a little bit for yourself to pick back up again if it all comes crashing down)
In short, life it too short to worry about what hurt might be to come....

yes it is :-( i hate that too. this is a good time for you to be by yourself and work on "you" you dont want to hop right into another relationship and you can trust that other person. dont bring the "bad" stuff into the next relationship. you may never know, they could be the one for you. dont wanna mess it up. trust me, i am going through the same thing right now!!!
i am VERY careful now. i really think before i act. but i make sure i dont take it out on the person

It did take me along time to trust again after my huge breakup which was done on amicable terms, but I got by pretty well and coped since I was relieved to get out of a bad relationship.

My heart stays broken so I trust NO ONE. You wiuld not BELIEVE the lies I have endured over the past few years since my divorce. Lied to when married, lied to when single...how am I supposed to trust anyone?

heart can be broken by many different people over the years, children, parents, friends, family, lovers, and the more yrs. that pass the colder my heart becomes. trust is almost unknown to me any more..
