I have a really annoying laugh. My friends tell me this all the time. Its between a snort, and a bull-horn. I really would like to change it, but I dont know how. I have been laughing like this for so long that I am used to laughing this way now. How can I change it if I really want to?

In general I have a normal laugh, but if something really gets me it comes out in short, loud bursts. When I'm at a comedy club, it is not unusual for the people around me to turn around and see where it is coming from. My best friend has been embarrassed by the attention it grabs, but she has also said that she knows that we're having a good time when she hears that laugh! No, I cannot control it. When I find something to be really funny, I can't hold back, nor would I want to. I love to laugh really hard once in awhile. The last time was at the end of Little Miss Sunshine, luckily the rest of the audience was laughing as hard and as loud as I was.

No, but my brother-in-law does. Its not the tone or sound of his laugh, but when I visit he insists we go out to his favorite watering hole, and as the jokes come--his, he laughs and slaps me REAL hard on the shoulder and back. When I get home there are bruises.

He needs to change this laugh or I'm bringing a bat.

You know what forget about changing your laugh if they dont like your laugh tell them to stop telling you funny stuff. Now that that is setteled if a person is really laughing i mean really laughing it is impossible to think about how you are going to laugh before you laugh when you find something histerical.

Don't worry I also have an annoying laugh, I don't think you can change it, unless it was a fake laugh and you don't want to do that. Just don't worry about it. believe me, mine is probably worse, I've been told mine is scary.

Yea I do =(

&& it sucks because I love to laugh, but everybody resents me for it loll. I've tried to not laugh as hard as I usually do, but it doesn't really help that much...I still sound annoying lol

I inhale and snort- probably annoys people but I don't care. If they TOLD me it was annoying that would only make me snort louder.Don't change.

I don't think you can without serious, serious work. This response is you, you can't control it. You'll have to retrain yourself, put yourself into many different circumstances where you might break into laugh and then practice your "new you." You might have the willpower and self control, but chances are the real you will emerge from time to time.

once you're conquer by employing something humorous, you chortle. So what if its loud!! somewhat, I even have been dissed for my loud chortle and after attempting to supress it, i've got desperate that as quickly as I journey exhilaration to that degree, my laughter ought to be like music to those that love me. I chortle now with wreckless abandon, and have by no potential felt greater desirable.
