hi! i play soccer ^_^ and i'm a striker and i wanna know what are the basic things a striker will need to know? strikers are just fast runners and will have to be able to pass correctly?

You need to put the ball in the goal strikers are finishers. Being fast helps but you will more importantly you need to make the right runs to get open.

strikers have to be "finishers' must drive like crazy for the goal, at all costs. many strikers run like deer and can also have great ball control but the key is the total desire to make a goal, very motivated. My daugther played 2nd grade thru college and took All American nationally for 4 year in college and after watching all those years, the thing I saw that really made the stand out strikers was their total drive and desire to "finish"

well #1 rule is shoot (preferably on target) this is what i say "you miss 100% of the shots you dont take" so thats #1
#2 you got to keep your head up looking for open space, you should always try to come up with a way to get around the defender thats gaurding you
#3dont always think you need to put tonnes of power on your shot, you can do placement shots aswell, which if done right are really good
#4 dont go offside but always try to get a jump start from your defender on through balls, getting to the ball and going on a breakaway
#5 know when to use your energy and when not to (dont go back on defense unless its absolutly crutial) dont waste your energy, you'll need it
well these 5 steps that i just came up with will help you become a better striker, HAVE FUN!

Always be open, and make sure your not offside, stay with the 2nd last defender, be first to the ball. Score on the goalie
