Um, "Say Good night Dick" was "Laugh-In", not the Smothers Brothers. Wrong Dick.

Yes, I remember them having their own comedy show.
I liked them too when were featured on Pat Paulson's show.
I saw recently on you tube, some of the very last shows of Johnny Carson and the Smother's were on and Tommy came out mimicking Johnny as a tribute, very Funny.
I didn't quite get the political undertones that was connected to them offstage or maybe it was just with one of them.
I know they did use some politics in the humor.

I remember the Smothers Bros, Carol Burnette, That Girl (with Marlo Thomas), Dick Van Dyke show, just to name a few. I guess that makes me over 40!

They aren't gone yet. They played Houston this month (November, 2007). Yes, I remember them well. Poor Tommy, mother always liked Dick best. But Tommy could play with his Yo-Yo to comfort himself ... lol.

yes I do. I had a kitty at the time and was watching Tommy doing one of the skits and he was saying shewwww pumas, so kitty was named Pumas. It was one of the times when you would just have to be there but I remember it as being hilarious.
