For windows xp, when you turn on the computer, there are a bunch of profiles.

when i leave the computer alone for twenty minutes or so, the computer goes back to the profile page. i click my profile picture to access my user account.

i know there's an option somewhere that has it so the computer doesn't automatically log me off to the profile page. does anyone know how to find this?

sounds like u have a malware problem...u could probably try this: 1) Boot the system using the Windows XP CD. Then enter the recovery mode by hitting r. from there login as the administrator. 2)you should see a prompt come up you could type CD SYSTEM32 or if dat doe work type CHDIR SYSTEM32 3)then type COPY USERINIT.EXE WSAUPDATER.EXE exit and restart.... See More 4) when you boot up run REGEDIT. look for a folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\......\Winlogon change the unserinit value to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe," (include the comma). you should be good there...if that doeS NOT work reinstall XP or get up to the times and get win 7.

Right-click anywhere on the desktop (besides on an icon), choose properties. Click on the 'screen saver' tab, uncheck 'On Resume, display Welcome screen'. Click OK. You should be all set.
