Im about to step into World of Warcraft myself. Im not sure how long I want to pay2play but I see that there are now over 300 free player-run servers so I decided that I would have someplace to go if the official servers were too crowded and full of gankers to enjoy.
By the way, I killed alot of time playing "Dungeon Runners" which is free to download and play. It reminded me ALOT of Diablo 2. Abit too much since once I had run thru it all it was quickly boring because it felt so much like Diablo with new maps. But it might be worth you grabbing it to kill some time.
