Bob and Martha have been married for 15 years. Every morning for 15 years, Bob wakes up, farts loudly, rolls over onto his back and gets up for work.

Any humor at all that is appealing to our logic, is in fact a diversion of logic. Logically, we make sounds with our mouths, so when that is reverted, it's funny. Remember Jim Carry talking out of his butt??? Why do we laugh at that? Because it's not logically correct, yet still it happens. That's the psychology of funny... at least one aspect of it. Some of the sounds and patterns are just so funny - even from a baby - and the baby even laughs when he hears it, probably not even knowing what it is nor that he did it . Even though it usually smells bad, that makes it even funnier for some reason.

omg! ok i farted at day camp one day and it was so loud and long. we were cracking up for days about it, then i was sleeping next to gf and bf and i did it so loud waking them both up. it was completely horrific. but my sister told me if you do it after drinking whole milk and on a book, it's obnoxiously loud. i have scared people and had others rolling....i have to laugh. i do it on my arm to scare the cats and the baby! the baby giggles. the cat smashed his head on a shelf once. i am horrible. and when your lactose intolerant, it's terrible. sorry! haha!

well i guess laughing does cover up the embarrassment that your bum makes, and you laugh at other people when they fart because its really a funny noise to make. that's why they invented whoppey cushins it hilarious!
