You mean when someone who earned the money chose to give it to them rather than someone else?

As opposed to the government forcably taking it from the person who earned it (or where that person directed it go) and then giving it to someone else who didn't earn it or did nothing for it?

Sound's like you suffer from a bit of class envy. What if it was you're trillion dollars that you inherited. And how could they make billions while doing nothings. I suppose you might be referring to investing it or just taking the interest off of the top of some high percentage account. Well, either way, investing or saving in an institution helps the economy, so they're not really doing nothing are they.

Is it OK for someone to do nada and expect this person "and every other taxpayer" to take care of them?

i assume that's where this was going.

Yes it is perfectly fair, when I pass on from these mortal bonds, that which I have earned will go to my children. Not to some bum who wants to live off of Uncle Sugar and crank out bastard children who'll do the same.

guess so......if your lucky enough to have some fortune drop in your lap, guess you have the right to do nada.....
If I won the lottery or inherited a bunch of money, you think I'd go to work and bust my As$ like I do now to make ends meet??
No friggen way!!
I would enjoy not having to do "nada" if I didn't feel like it, and most people would say the same.....
You got it, it's yours, guess you can do what you want.....
Wish it was me man!!!!

Yes, its OK. Its not OK to lust for the property of others. Its particularily gutless to use the police powers of the State to do your stealing for you. A thief steals selects victims that have what he wants. The difference is he is willing to take the risk of stealing them for himself, and doesn't ask for the approval of others before doing so. Other than that its just stealing.

What is wrong with being filthy rich? If I was rich I'd be in the news all the time because of some incredibly stupid thing that I did. I would flaunt my being rich every chance I got. You would hate me.

What's the matter? Jealous?
It's the wish of every parent alive that they should be able to give their kids a better start than what they themselves were given. It's the smart ones who realize that they must make their kids work for it to appreciate it. With wealth comes responsibility.
